My Own Shall Come To Me

My Own Shall Come To Me

From far and near my own shall come to me. Even now it is coming to me and I receive it.
My own is now manifesting itself to me, and I see and know its presence. My own shall know and respond to me.
My own cannot be kept from me, neither can I keep my good away from me. I receive my good NOW.
My own shall find me. No matter where I go, it will follow and claim me.
I cannot hide myself from my own.
My own shall come to me, even though I deny it; for there is nothing in me that can hinder it from entering and taking possession of my Soul.
My own is now expressed.
And so it is.

"God's Perfect Idea Of Me" - Dr. Ernest Holmes

This word I speak is for me, about me, is the truth of me.
There is nothing in my mind, or the mind of another, that can deny it.
Its action and fulfillment cannot be delayed, deferred, or hindered.
I know, affirm, and declare that Divine Intelligence, the Mind of God,
now guides and directs my every thought, my every action.
I know what to do, when to do it, and how to do it.
Every good idea I have carries with it the knowledge of the ways and
means for its achievement. I am vigorous and whole.
I possess the vitality of the Infinite. I am strong and well.
God's Life is my life, now. His strength is my strength.
His power is my power. My whole being is renewed, invigorated, made alive.
There is peace, a Divine harmonious, dynamic, creative action at the center
of my being. Every breath I draw, every beat of my heart,
is the perfect rhythmic action of Life Itself.
The expression of the One Perfect Life in me as me is now perfectly
maintaining every atom, cell, and organ of my body.
My body is a Divine idea in the Mind of God and no thing, no situation
or condition can prevent Its full and complete expression in and as me.
God created my body, knows how to maintain it, to remove what doesn't
belong, and to rebuild it. This is occurring right now.
Without reservation I know I now manifest and experience in all fullness
and completeness God's perfect idea of me, and in all respects, every action,
function, and structure of my body now conforms to it.
There is perfect assimilation, circulation, and elimination.
All that I am is one with the One Perfect Life.
All the joy there is, all the happiness, all the beauty are now mine.
I am born of the Spirit. I am in the Spirit. I am the Spirit made manifest.

And so it is.

I KEEP THE PROMISE

I shall keep the promise that I have made to myself.
I shall never again tell myself that I am poor, sick, weak nor unhappy.
I shall not lie to myself any more, but shall daily speak the truth
to my inner Soul, telling It that It is wonderful and marvelous;
that It is One with the Great Cause of all Life,
Truth, Power and Action.
I shall whisper these things into my Soul until it breaks forth into
songs of joy with the realization of Its Limitless possibilities.
I shall assure my Soul.

Good and More Good

In his book, "Living The Science of Mind," Dr. Holmes suggests that we repeat this affirmation a thousand times each day. I am certain he did not mean literally a thousand times, but as many times as possible. It definitely creates a "shift" in consciousness. Here it is:

Good and more Good is mine.
An ever-increasing Good is mine.
Everywhere I go I see this Good, I feel it, I experience It.
It crowds itself against me, flows through me, expresses Itself in me,
and multiplies Itself around me.

Awake to the Good

"No good can come to us unless it make its advent through the center of God Consciousness which we are. The hope of destiny is latent in the slumbering thought and genius lies buried until the attention is winged with love and reason. To help those in need is indeed a great privilege. Today, I am conscious of my great faith and belief that the Universe supports me in my Good. I live without doubt and uncertainty for I know that the Good that I desire, God desires this very same Good for me. I know that as I depend on the Power of God, Infinite Spirit, I realize and actualize success, prosperity, joy, happiness, and love. I know that I am ready to accept .... and ready to receive my Good now. My consciousness is filled with Good and more Good ... my heart sings "life is Good all the time" ... and I am immersed in this Truth as I move forward enjoying the best of times and the best of everything ... now. And so it is.

Because I Believe

Because I believe in the Power of God and know that the Law of good operates upon my word of faith, I speak this word with complete abandonment. I speak it with enthusiasm and joy. I speak it with a deep sense of calmness and peace. I know that I am governed by Divine Intelligence, that my word is a channel of inspiration through which guidance continually flows to me.

I am completely receptive to this guidance and live in a consciousness of joyful expectation of the good, acknowledging that God, around, in and through me, is the only power there is operating in all I do, say or think. I let this power direct me into constructive channels of self-expression.

I Believe

Taken from the writings of Dr. Ernest Holmes:

I believe in God, the Living Spirit Almighty; one, indestructible, absolute and self-existent cause. I believe in the incarnation of Spirit in everyone and that all people are incarnations of the One Spirit. I believe in the eternality, the immortality and the continuity of the individual soul, forever and ever expanding. I believe the ultimate goal of life to be a complete emancipation from all discord of every nature, and that this goal is sure to be attained by all. I believe in the unity of all life, and that the highest God and the innermost God is one God. I believe that God is personal to all who feel this indwelling Presence. I believe that the Universal Spirit, which is God, operates through a Universal Mind, which is the Law of God; and that I am surrounded by this Creative Mind which receives the direct impress of my thought and acts upon it. I believe in the healing of the sick through the power of this Mind. I believe in the control of conditins through the power of this Mind. I believe in the eternal Goodness, the eternal Loving-Kindness, and the eternal Giving-ness of Life to all. I believe in my own soul, my own spirit and my own destiny; for I understand that the life of all, is God.
And so it is.

The Light of Spirit

From Dr. Ernest Holmes: Suppose every day you say to yourself:
"My thoughts are radiant with the Light of Spirit.
There is no darkness in my mind.
I am directed by the Spirit of Wisdom.
I am guided into right action, into happiness and success,
because the Light of Spirit shines from the very center of my being.
This Light illumines my path and makes straight the way before me.
This Light is God, the living Spirit Almighty."

April 20, 2008 & Breath of God

The following is from Dr. Ernest Holmes, author of "The Science of Mind":
It is written that the breath of God animates creation, with the living presence of a pure divinity.

My entire body is now a receptive channel for the operation of God-Life. My thought is pure, relaxed and peaceful. My breathing is not obstructed (asthma); my thought is not sensitive to any discordant or disagreeable sentiment (hay fever), as Mind could not entertain a disgreeable sentiment. I breathe in the eternal Life Essence. By this breath I am purified and made strong. I am freed from the belief in anything unlike Perfection. And so it is.

March 9, 2008 & Treatment for Everyone

Modified from a treatment written by Dr. Ernest Holmes:

Realizing that my word is the presence, the power and the activity of the living Spirit in and through me, I speak this word with complete confidence that it is the law of good unto each person for which it is spoken.
I know there is but one Life, that Life is God, that Life is the life of the person of whom I am now thinking. Every organ, atom and function of his/her physical being is rooted in a divine reality, has a pattern in the spiritual world which is now perfect, and I know there is nothing within him/her, or within me, that can deny or obstruct this divine reality which flows with complete freedom through his/her entire being.
As this spiritual circulation takes place, everything which does not belong to the divine and perfect Life is eliminated, calmly, joyfuly, peacefully. I realize this divine action and know that it is good.
And so it is.

February 25, 2008 & My Inheritance

ABUNDANCE IS MY INHERITANCE
Abundance is mine. I cannot be deprived of my supply. The trees do not lack for leaves, nor do the flowers fail to bloom. Am I not as important as they? "Consider the lilies of the field, they toil not neither do they spin, yet ... Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed as one of these."
I look at the lavish wastefulness of Nature and know that God intended for me to be abundantly supplied, with everything that makes for beauty, well-being, progressive living and happiness. I, myself, am to blame when these "fruits of the Spirit" fail to appear.
Since I know the Truth of my being, I will no longer hinder or retard my good from coming to me. I will expect and accept all that I need to make life happy and worth while; for I am a child of the Spirit, and every attribute of It - every attribute of Good - is my inheritance.
Nothing but lack of faith can keep my good from me, for I am one with the Universal Essence of Life, or Spirit, and Its Substance will manifest in my experience as I believe. No longer will I go for my good, carrying only a dipper to be filled. This day, as I turn to the Father within, I bring "all the empty vessels" knowing they will be filled, and my abundance will become manifest.

February 10, 2008 & Prayer of Love & Friendship

This treatment was written by Ernest Holmes and can be found in the booklet, "Pray and Prosper" ... which I believe is out of print. The treatment is titled: "The Prayer of Love and Friendship":

"That they may be one, even as we are one. I perceive the Spirit of Wholeness, the Union of all Life. Deep within my being I know that I am One with all people, all ages, all events. I am One with the Infinite and the Eternal. I am One with all the Goodness there is; One with all Power and One with the only Presence; the Presence of God in me. In everyone I meet, I perceive this union. I meet It with joy; I am accepted by It even as I accept It. I cannot reject myself nor can I be rejected by myself. There is only One Self, which is God the Eternal Self. I am One with this Self; one with Love; one with Joy; one with Friendship.

This Oneness peoples my world with the loving attention of innumerable friends, with every human manifestation of the Divine Reality. I appreciate this Friend of mine Whom I meet in innumerable forms. Everywhere I go I shall meet Him, everywhere I look I shall see Him. I am held in the embrace of the Eternal Presence. Every thought of disunion, separation or unhappiness is forever gone from my mind. Love, Joy and Companionship are permanently established in my experience." And so it is.

January 20, 2008 & Hope for the Future

From Dr. Ernest Holmes: "I live today as though the words of this, my affirmative prayer, were already accomplished facts in my experience. I empty my mind of every fear and doubt. I condemn no one and no thing, not even myself. I forget that which is past and have no fear of the future.

I live in harmony with people and with all situations that surround me. I see and feel the presence of Good running through everything. I have complete faith that this Divine Presence reveals itself to me in my every thought, every word, and every act.

There is nothing in my thought about the past or the future that can in any way deny me the pleasure and privilege of living today as though everything were complete and perfect. My whole expectancy is of much and more, of good and better.

The future is bright with hope and fulfillment. The present is perfect, and no past failure mars today's understanding. Today is the start of my new and more successful experience of achievement." ... And so it is.

January 18, 2008 & Helpful Treatments

The following are a few prayer-treatments written by Dr. Ernest Holmes, author of "The Science of Mind," that may be helpful as a guide to our own personal treatments.

A TREATMENT FOR PROSPERITY
Today I accept God's gift of abundance. Today everything I am and have is increased. I identify everything I do with success. I think affirmatively and in all my prayers I accept abundance. Whatever I need - whenever I need it, wherever I need it, for as long as I need it - will always be at hand. ... I no longer see negation or delay or stagnation in my undertakings. Rather, I claim that the action of the living Spirit prospers everything I do, increases every good I possess, and brings success to me and everyone I meet. ... Everything I think about and do is animated by the Divine Presence, sustained by the infinite Power, and multiplied by the Divine Goodness. And so it is.

A TREATMENT FOR SELF-CONFIDENCE
Believing that there is an infinite Power in the universe, a Power for Good greater than I am, I now accept its action in my life. I know here is strength and a vitality, a livingness, flowing through me out into everything I think, or say, or do. ... I am peaceful, calm, and confident because I am the very embodiment of this Power, its energy and action. There is no sense of weakness or lack of strength. Rather, the fullness and the perfection of this Power is always present, always active. I completely and confidently recognize and accept the flow of this Power through me, manifesting itself in right ways in every aspect of my life. And so it is.

A TREATMENT FOR BUSINESS
In my business activities, I know I am in partnership with the Infinite. I identify myself with this partnership, knowing it always leads to success. I accept that the action of Infinite Intelligence is back of everything. It is always manifesting itself and it now does so through the thought pattern of success I am establishing for myself. ... Conditions and situations around me now start to correspond to my new ideas about them. The invisible Power indwelling and surrounding me, which is forever making manifest my thought, now creates for me the business success with which I have identified my thought. And so it is.

A TREATMENT FOR HANDLING DEPRESSION
Through praise and thanksgiving I recognize the Divine Presence in everything and everyone. I recognize the beautiful and perfect in everything. I praise and bless the spiritual Reality back of all things. I rejoice in the thought that I am dealing with the Presence and the Power which cannot be denied. I praise the abundance of good in all things and give thanks that this good is flowing into my experience in ever-increasing volume. I accept this good. I bless it, causing it to multiply in my life. ... I deliberately turn from everything that depresses and sing a song of praise, of gratitude and joy. I sing a song of the triumph of Spirit over all apparent negation. In the midst of darkness I sing a song of he dawn, for I know that the eternal Light dissipates all darkness. And so it is.

A TREATMENT OF LOVE
I permit Love to reach out from me to everyone I meet. I believe that Love is returned to me from every person I meet. I shall trust the guidance of this Love because I believe it is a Power of Good in the universe. I feel that Love is flowing through me to heal everything I encounter, to help everyone I contact. Love opens the way before me and makes it perfect and straight and immediate. Love forgives everything unlike itself and converts everything that seems commonplace into something wonderful, changing weakness into strength and fear into faith. Love is the all-conquering power of the Spirit. And so it is.

December 6, 2007 & Re-Energized

This treatment written by Dr. Ernest Holmes, page 293, of The Science of Mind, will re-energize anyone seeking more enthusiasm in their life:

"I know I am now at the threshold of all good, wisdom and Truth. All the good I can embody is now mine. I have only to open the portals of my soul and accept that which is ready to express through me.
"I expect, fully and emphatically, the answer to my prayer today. Right now do I possess this thing I so greatly desire. I remove my fear of lack and negation, for it is the only barrier which stands in the way of my experience of good. I alone can remove it, and I do remove it now.
"In this moment my good comes to me, enough and to spare, to give and to share. I can never be exhausted, my good can never be depleted, because that Source from which my good comes is inexhaustible.
"Today, in this moment, the Law responds to my thought. My word is one of affirmation, rising from the knowledge that the Good, the Enduring and the True are Eternalities in my experience. I cannot be apart from that which is my good. My good is assured me by God, the Indwelling Essence of my life."

October 14, 2007 & Receiving

From the author of the Science of Mind, Dr. Ernest Holmes:

Ask and it shall be given you; seek and ye shall find; knock and it shall be opened unto you.
How can we receive that which the mind refuses to entertain? Should we not, then, consciously develop the ability to receive more? We make life little and mean and limit our Own Possibilities when we refuse to accept the whole gift of God. We should open our consciousness to a receptivity of the Divine. There will never be any point of saturation because God is infinite. We cannot contract the Infinite, but we can expand the finite.

Today I ask and know that I shall receive. Today I seek and know that I shall find. Today I knock and know that it shall be opened unto me.

October 8, 2007 & Mental Nutrition

One of my favorite things to do is to read treatments written by such metaphysical masters as Dr. Joseph Murphy, Dr. Ernest Holmes, Dr. Robert Bitzer, Dr. Eric Butterworth, and Dr. O. C. Smith. The treatments they wrote give evidence of the powerful consciousness behind the words that they used. Each of them mastered metaphysics and left us great works to learn from. It is like "mental nutrition" and the benefits are incredible. Today, I would like to share a treatment that I read today written by Dr. Joseph Murphy:

I give supreme recognition to the God-Presence within me. I sincerely and honestly give thanks for all the blessings received. I give thanks for all the good in my life; I live in the feeling of grateful rejoicing. My thankful heart strikes the magic of the Divine response. Every day of my life I express thanks for the knowledge of the laws of mind and the way of the Spirit. I know that thankfulness is a movement of the heart first, which is followed by a movement of the lips. My uplifted heart opens up the treasure-house of Infinity within me and bespeaks my faith in the fulfillment of my prayers. I am truly thankful because I have found God in the midst of me. "I sought the Lord, and He heard me and delivered me from all my fears." He who possesses a thankful heart is always in tune with the Infinite and cannot suppress the joy that arises from contemplating God and His Holy Presence. In everything, I give thanks.
