October 12-13, 2007 & Paying Attention

Dr. Domenic Polifrone stated that the two most important words that affect our lives are "pay attention" ... and for those of us who look for Divine Guidance, this is most important. Spirit can be very subtle in the way in which It directs us and guides us ... and if we are not paying attention, we can miss the guidance that is important to us. Here is a treatment for Divine Guidance:

Knowing that All Is Mind and All Is God, I take the time each day to sit in the silence of my mind and "listen" to that "still small voice" that seeks to impart to me Its wisdom and loving guidance. I am never distracted from this time of "listening" for I know that my time in the silence with Spirit, Infinite Presence, is the most important time of my life. As I move into my day, I "pay attention" to the unfoldment of ideas and actions around me and identify those that are supporting me in my Good. I am never without Divine Guidance for I know that the Presence of the Presence is always with me, always guiding me and directing me, to my highest and greatest Good. And so it is.

October 11, 2007 & Re-New

In describing evolutionary science of mind, I often say that it is a philosophy that allows us to "re-new" our relationship with our "true self" and God, Infinite Spirit. And I believe that each time we "re-new" this relationship we are acting from a "shift" in consciousness. It has been said that "all spiritual/religious paths lead to God" ... but that is like saying each breath we breathe leads us to air ... like the air that we breathe God surrounds us and permeates our physical being ... we don't go to God, we are "in God" ... and for most of us, it is so easy to not be conscious of this, our "true" relationship with God ... and so we "re-new" our relationship with treatment, prayer and affirmation.

I rejoice and give thanks for knowing the Truth of Being; that I am in-God and of-God ... for this is the Truth and this is where I realize my "true self." I know that God Is Life and this Life lives in me and in all living things. There is only One Life and this Life Is continually infinitely individualizing Itself ... expressing Itself through All, In All and As All. I am profoundly grateful for having this understanding and I know that as I relate to God, Infinite Spirit, intelligently, It responds to me in kind. I know that I am blessed for the One that blesses is in the midst of me ... always blessing me, always loving me, and always guiding me. I know there is none other for I know that God Is All ... and so I embrace in my mind this sense of the All-ness of God, of Good, and I re-new my mind spontaneously. And so it is.

October 10, 2007 & Power Affirmation

I do not know who originated this powerful affirmation, but Dr. Bitzer, one of the greats of metaphysics, had it taped to his podium for well over 20 years, and I use it each Sunday in Palm Springs. I have personally used it during times of doubt and it has shifted my consciousness each time, right on time. I am very happy to share it with all of you:

THERE IS A POWER WITHIN ME

That lifts my life to its highest level.
It changes illness into health.
It brings peace amidst turmoil.
It brings success out of failure,
and victory out of defeat.
It brings companionship and
happiness out of loneliness.

IT RESPONDS TO ME

FOR THIS IS THE POWER

THAT DWELLS WITHIN ME!
AND SO IT IS

October 9, 2007 & Enthusiasm

I believe there is power in enthusiasm. When we feel a natural enthusiasm for something, our mind is energized at a higher vibration and has a strong attracting quality to it. I believe that enthusiasm comes from knowing the Truth about Life ... and willingly "reasoning" our experiences back to the Truth so that we are never in a position to feel helpless or hopeless. Once we learn to use treatment as a tool for "reasoning back to the Truth," we can find plenty of opportunities to use it and feel a natural enthusiasm spontaneously. Let's work with a treatment for enthusiasm:

I rejoice in my sincere appreciation for this day and for the experiences that move me toward a greater Good. I know that as I accept within my mind that Life Is Good, all the time ... I experience this Good in a multitude of ways. My mind is charged with enthusiasm ... for Life, for Love, and for so many wonderful things. I know that I live in a Universe of Good and that this Universe is Infinite ... and so I draw upon this Infinite Good for ideas and inspiration to create for me and for those around me, a greater and greater experience of joy and success in all things. I believe in a God that Is All Good and I believe that I am a part of this All Good ... and so I am never without any Good thing that I require to live life fully and enthusiastically. And for this, I am always grateful. And so it is.

October 8, 2007 & Mental Nutrition

One of my favorite things to do is to read treatments written by such metaphysical masters as Dr. Joseph Murphy, Dr. Ernest Holmes, Dr. Robert Bitzer, Dr. Eric Butterworth, and Dr. O. C. Smith. The treatments they wrote give evidence of the powerful consciousness behind the words that they used. Each of them mastered metaphysics and left us great works to learn from. It is like "mental nutrition" and the benefits are incredible. Today, I would like to share a treatment that I read today written by Dr. Joseph Murphy:

I give supreme recognition to the God-Presence within me. I sincerely and honestly give thanks for all the blessings received. I give thanks for all the good in my life; I live in the feeling of grateful rejoicing. My thankful heart strikes the magic of the Divine response. Every day of my life I express thanks for the knowledge of the laws of mind and the way of the Spirit. I know that thankfulness is a movement of the heart first, which is followed by a movement of the lips. My uplifted heart opens up the treasure-house of Infinity within me and bespeaks my faith in the fulfillment of my prayers. I am truly thankful because I have found God in the midst of me. "I sought the Lord, and He heard me and delivered me from all my fears." He who possesses a thankful heart is always in tune with the Infinite and cannot suppress the joy that arises from contemplating God and His Holy Presence. In everything, I give thanks.

October 7, 2007 & Self Approval

I rejoice and give thanks for the realization that I am One with God, Infinite Spirit. Knowing that I have been created in the image and likeness of God, I realize that I am spirit. And Spirit is peace, love, joy, harmony, happiness, beauty and intelligence ... and I know that I am all these things for they are within me now and always. I love and approve of myself and I see myself as confident, self-assured, and successful in all that I do. I know and accept that I am a perfect idea in the Mind of God, and in this awareness I can accept and love myself knowing that God loved me first and always. It is an incredible thought that I am of the nature of God and my mind processes this knowledge realizing that my consciousness is continually and constantly evolving toward my full and complete acceptance of this Truth. With this greater awareness I know that all things are possible for me that I claim in consciousness as mine. My mind is free from restriction and limitation and I am healthy, happy and enthusiastic towards Life and Life reflects back to me as wholeness and completeness, precisely and perfectly. And so it is.
